These things are great! I bought my Tilla Foodsaver several yrs ago & used it for so many yrs, the heat sealing strip burned out & couldn't be replaced. I immediately bought another because it is wonderful for vacuum packing anything that needs to be frozen - even bread. Bread needs to be frozen 1st, then as soon as it feels like a rock, vacuum pack it & it will keep almost indefinitely w/no off flavor. Ground beef I make into patties, freeze them on non-stick foil, & vacuum pack individually or as many as needed when solid. Also any food with juices that leak out while vacuuming them, freeze 1st in an inexpensive plastic bag & vacuum after it's solid.
