4$0.06 per bag, If you read the manual and follow instructionsMay 28, 2009

VALUE
At $12 for 20 bags, I get a minimum of 10 uses of each bag, making my cost 6 cents per bag. That is very good. Now, if I choose to punch holes and seal where there are no marked circles, I can get 14 to 15 uses per bag. That would bring the cost to around 4 cents per bag. I have not seen a better deal yet.

Oliso has marked the locations where you should punch, vacuum and seal, but this is done to sell more bags. You can easily get 50% more use from each bag as I have.

EASE OF USE
This why it is not five stars. You have to zip it really well to prevent leaks. The manual describes the process well, and it should be followed. If you simply, and without pressure glide the zipper shut, your seal may not hold. Following the procedure, I have items that are still in vacuum after three months.

VS. OTHER BRANDS' BAGS
The others all have a long heat strip that seals the bags horizontally. For a bag to be used a second time, you have to cut the bag below the prior seal, making your bag smaller and smaller. I found with my old Food Saver, that if I were to economize, I could get two to three uses at best. No matter how you cut it, pun intended, you have to cut and throw away a piece of the bag with the other systems. The only way I was able to avoid this was to keep all the small piece in a drawer for that day I needed a really tiny bag. Very few kitchens offer the luxury of ample storage and counter space.

VS. UPRIGHT BAGS BY OLISO
The upright bags, which for some reason are not in Amazon, work great. They are wider in the bottom, stand-up, are great for organizing, and offer a valve on the top that can be used over and over again. In fact, it can be used a lot more than Oliso would lead you to believe, because they like to see you buy more bags. When these bags are sold through Amazon, they will get my 5 star ***** rating.

IMPROVEMENTS
I would like a large 2 gallon bag for marinating.

5Nifty - Works As AdvertisedJun 09, 2009
By Scrooge "If you paid retail, you paid too much."
Great bags and a lot cheaper than the competitor's.

+
Easy to write on
Reusable many, many times, making it economical
Freezer to boiling water -no problem
The vacuum device is tiny but very powerful

-
Bags should be wide in the bottom so they can stand-up -like those juice bags/pouches.

5Best vacuum food saver bags ever!Jun 05, 2009
By Lynn P. Remick
I own the Frisper and love it. And the bags compliment it. They are the strongest bags of anything out there (I previously owned another vacuum sealer). I also like the fact that they are textured on one side. With regular bags, when I use to put them in the freezer, they all slid off of each other - that doesn't happen with the Frisper bags. And because they are stronger, they keep my meat & veggies fresher. Awesome product!

1bags are NOT reuseableNov 30, 2009
By cozy
I've had the Frisper for a few months now. I've had success with sealing the bags the first time for most things. However once you are up to 5 or more times, the old seals start failing and the bag becomes useless. Sometimes you have do the seal over multiple times because it didn't seal the complete circle properly. Oh, and it's not dishwasher safe. I tried cleaning the bags in the dishwasher and after that I could never get the bags to seal again.

5Quality and Value!Jun 10, 2009
By O. Lao
The Oliso Resealable Replacement Bags are great! I own a Frisper and I love it. And I love these bags almost just as much. Unlike the other brands, we can use these bags at LEAST 10 times. They have circles that let you know where to punch the holes in, but I usually punch holes in between the marked ones, which allow me to use each bag 15-18 times. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, so I always wash the bags after I use them. They can even withstand being put in the dishwasher. After two weeks of washing, the bags are still strong and sturdy, with no holes or leaks. I would recommend punching the holes starting from the bottom, and going up. It saves more space and makes the process easier.
