My plastic funnel was slightly melted, so I decided to get a stainless steel unit for canning. This funnel is great for the most part. It is wide at the top, so you have few spills, and the funnel itself is wide enough to push through larger bits of food (like in soups or canning fruits and veggies).
The funnel wobbles a bit in a regular canning jar, but fits very well in a wide mouth jar. I use wide mouths more often, so this won't effect my canning rhythm, but those who only use regular jars might find it frustrating. I also wish it had a slightly larger handle, but since I tend to pick it up using the edges, this isn't too much of a bother.

This funnel makes canning so much easier. It has a wide "mouth" and sides on it and narrow base that fits nicely into both regular and wide mouth jars. The wide "mouth" on it makes it so much easier to ladel food into the jars without spilling it (especially when you are trying to can quickly). The handle on the side makes it easy to hold on to it and the fact that it is stainless steel means you never have to worry about it melting. (Which has happened to other people). I would highly recommend this product. Well worth the money!

Much nicer than my old aluminum funnel. I do wish the funnel fit a bit better into standard jars - the fit seems a little tight. Otherwise, a solid, functional tool.

I purchased this item and have since returned it. It is manufactured in China for Fox Run. The material and style are very nice, but it does not fit into the top of a standard canning jar.

This funnel is not a good funnel because it has a curvature to the lower part of the stem that will not allow this funnel to bottom out inside of the jar. It will fit inside of the jar, but because of the curvature, it is necessary to hold it upright or it will tilt.
If you want a funnel that looks almost identical, but that fits properly inside the mouth of a standard-sized canning jar, try this one:
5½-Inch Wide Mouth Canning Funnel - Stainless Steel
These funnels look almost identical, except for the fact the Fox Run funnel will not properly rest inside of the standard sized jar, but the funnel in the above link will feel like it is locked inside of the standard sized canning jar. I would classify this as a funnel that was just not properly designed.
If you want a funnel that will fit inside of a wide mouth canning jar, this one fits the bill:
RSVP Endurance Wide Mouth Canning Funnel
A little bit more expensive, but made out of a heavier guage of stainless steel and fits nicely inside of the jar.
