I bought this jar after moving out on my own for the first time. Growing up, my family always used this kind of jar as a sugar dish. So I picked up this one for the same purpose. It's a little smaller than I anticipated, but it turns out that it's a perfect size for one or two people.
The clasp mechanism is very well constructed and robust. I saw a review for a similar product here on Amazon and the reviewer was complaining about how bad the clasp was made. I have had no such experience with this product. Clean-up is very easy with this jar, and being able to see through it is a convenient way to tell whether it's time to refill the jar. Highly recommended for anything that needs to stay dry or air-tight.

This jar is certainly air tight and its certainly heavy duty. Whatever you happen to store in here will be safe and secure. This thing is thick man, it's thick. And its pretty big too.

I can't say enough good things about these jars. I have them in every size. I use them to store almonds, walnuts, flour, dry beans, and chocolates. I'm planning on making homemade jams this summer, which is why I bought the small ones. The jars are very high quality, never break and look great on the counter.

I needed a jar/vase for the sand ceremony of my beach wedding and this worked perfectly! Great quality. I loved the latching lid so that we could safely transport the sand back home as a keepsake!

I don't usually say this about products but this is perfect in every way. The sealing is amazing, the glass is very thick which means robustness and the clip on is very well made. What else would you need from a jar. I got this to store oregano which as known loses its flavor and smell easily if it's not completely air tight, I opened it up a week later and it was as if it was just collected from a farm. I highly recommend this product!
