I purchased this jar a little over 3 months ago and I use it all the time. The seal is air/water tight. The construction of the hinge/clasp is well built and has a nice tight snap shut when opening and closing. The opening of the mouth is just barley big enough for a grown mans hand to squeeze through. The size and shape of the container makes pouring from it easy but the lid can sometimes get in the way.
All in all I would consider this is a good jar and value for the money.

It's nice and big, but for the price i was expecting something... i don't know... more. The locking mechanism feels wobbly, and the glass is neither smooth and uniform nor interesting and wavy. It works, but I would not buy again.
