 WARNING: Ball/Kerr lids lined with BPASep 29, 2010

It was disappointing to learn that all Ball/Kerr lids are lined with the toxin BPA. I hope they're working on a lid that is free of BPA, but in the mean time, if you're searching for lids without BPA, I suggest Tattler lids. They are reusable and guaranteed to last a lifetime.

I didn't realize these were so overpriced on here. The price I paid for just these lids was higher than the package of both lids and rings at my local grocery and hardware stores. For what Amazon & Deerso were charging, I could have bought 2 packages of these lids.

I've not yet used the lids so I cannot rate their effectiveness. But I was sorry to see that the tops were not decorated as shown in the image. Instead there is "crafted for quality, sealed for freshness", at the top and a little scroll at the bottom....neither of which, especially the former, were expected. The lid top can, of course, be covered by fabric or paper, but that is an extra step I was hoping to avoid. Perhaps Ball will, in the future, change the writing to a script font, to match the scroll, so that the top of the lid would be more decorative.

The lids I received are not the decorative lids that are shown on your Amazon listing. I think you better change the picture you have on this listing; as the lids I received are plain with the word Ball printed on top. I really thought I would received the decorative lids as that was what I really wanted. Other than that the price is good and the service is great. Sincerely, Mary
