Good, not greatApr 30, 2009

If you are going to use your jars to store dry stuff, I highly recommend these lids. However, for liquids, they do leak. I used them to carry some Oriental style dipping sauce to work, and it made a huge mess in my bag. Not a great experience at all.

A fake discount when you consider the exaggerated shipping weightFeb 06, 2008

A box of these lids weighs less than a pound and since they are unbreakable plastic even redundant packing materials would bring the total weight to well under 2 lbs. Since the seller claims they weigh 8.1 pounds the shipping is over $9.00. The money the sellers will keep as profit from the shipping charge is close to $5.00 - more than the price of the lids.

Versatility is the word!Jan 30, 2010

These plastic lids come in two sizes, standard and wide mouth, and fit all kinds of canning jars, from the tiny 4-oz to the gallon sizes.
I keep buying them, because I keep finding more uses for them. I store dry beans and many other foods that come in floppy bags or boxes (dry beans and peas, cornstarch, powdered sugar, etc.)after they've been opened, also use them on canned and jarred foods after they have been opened and not used up.
I even use them in my cupboards under sticky jars of honey and molasses to prevent having to constantly clean up cupboard shelves.
These lids have other uses, too, like holding screws, washers, and other tiny parts you might lose while repairing or making something.
Very handy for the whole family!

A Quality ItemNov 01, 2009

These are great to use after you open the jar of Jelly or whatever you canned.
I use them to replace the canning rings and lid. It is easier to open and less messy.
You do not have to keep pulling off a sticky lid and use the ring to reseal the jar.
It eliminate all of those extra steps. Just one Twist does it! Great product.

Storage Lids are handy!Oct 15, 2011

I can about 150 jars of fruit and jam every summer, and I use Ball canning jars with the a two-part lid and ring. While the metal lid and ring work well for the canning process, it's much simpler to have a one-part lid after opening the jar. Also, plastic never rusts in the refrigerator, keeping the jar clean. The Ball brand plastic lids I bought from Amazon were delivered quickly via mail.
