good fit. expensive. trays warp.Jan 09, 2008

Not a whole lot you can say... the product is as described. Fits the FD-1010 dehydrator perfectly. They're the same exact trays as the ones that came with the dehydrator. I've now accumulated 6 total trays. Will probably go up to 12. I plan on reviewing how well the dehydrator works when that many trays are loaded on. It says it's expandable up to 30 trays, but I cant imagine the heat would reach the top very well with 30 trays. Plus you'd have to put it on the floor with that many trays cause it'd be too tall to sit on the counter ;.).
The only negative thing I could say about these is the price (I paid ~20 USD after tax/shipping). After all, it's just a piece of plastic. There was a lot of resellers of this product at the time I first bought it, so I thought there should be a little more competition and lower prices. I would've already bought a lot more if they were cheaper.

Finally got around to using these. they worked great, however, cleaning them was a pain in the A$$. I put them in the dishwasher on low heat, and they warped. Ridiculous that at $10 a tray, it's not made dishwasher safe, especially something that hard to clean. The same goes for these trays: [...] (bought one of each to see the difference). Downgraded to 2 stars.

Just saw that Nesco has made a new (square-shaped) dehydrator. The trays for these are about an inch shorter (width-wise), but due to being square, hold about 30 sq in. more (think two 3x5 index cards worth of space). I wasn't able to find out any information regarding washing them in the dishwasher... but being a newer product, its possible they may be made dishwasher safe now. That is, if the good people at Nesco read their customer's reviews ;.)
You can find that dehydrator here:[...], and the trays for it here: [...]

Saves time.Oct 14, 2008
By Donald E. Tharpe Sr. If you are drying a large quantity of anything you need extra trays. The model dehydrator that we have will hold up to 30 trays. I bought an additional 12 and it turned four drying sessions into one. All the food dried evenly from the bottom to the top and just as quickly. This has made our dehydrator much more productive; I will probably buy more.

Melted on low temperatureDec 28, 2009

Wow, got these dehydrator trays for my Nesco American Harvester Gardenmaster dehydrators but they warped and melted at the first use even at the lower end of the temperature zone, which makes the dehydrator work poorly as the air flow leaks out the sides. Surely Nesco can make these of a plastic that is more heat resistant.

By Gary Diesen I have now owned 3 hd-60 dehydrators the unit works great but the trays last no time at all.they nesco have told me that they were made of a polycarbinate if so its a poor one .I think this is nescos way of staying in business I would like to know the number of trays they sell the question is to add or replace?dont bother buying this product if you use it enough you will only be un happy

Keep Stacking Them !Dec 07, 2010

The Nesco dehydrator is great. Adding more trays to it is a 'no-brainer', which allows more space for drying. At harvest time, the more that can be processed, the better. These trays soak clean in minutes, no matter what has been dried on them.
