5know your Le Parfait gasket facts! reprinted from Glass Packaging SolutionsJan 25, 2010
By Robert C. Lieberman
when ordering Le Parfait gaskets - you need to know the following:

the 125G and 250G terrine jars take a 70MM gasket - the 1000ML TERRINE takes a 100MM .. the other terrine jars take an 85MM - a terrine style jar has the same width as the mouth opening.

All standard jars from LeParfait UP to the 3L take a 85MM.. that means the standard(that is the style they make now in addition to the terrine) sizes 1/2L , 3/4L , 1L , 1 1/2L and 2L take this gasket.

Also note that they used to make a line called SUPER *says SUPER on the body* .. they take a 100MM for all their sizes.

With the Le Parfait line - the wording is clear in the ad - however many people do not know what jars they have OR have a mix of styles!

Original Le Parfait gaskets are made in France and are orange - not red - not white! Beware of chinese imitations - they are not rated for canning usage with these jars and are not certified as food safe composition for anything but prewrapped product.

Bormioli Italian made White gaskets WILL fit Le Parfait standard (85MM) jars ... but are a tad larger overall! There are 2 styles of Italian gaskets - white bleached gaskets (bright white chemically treated for a "glazed" finish") and Eco friendly white gaskets (same composition but not chemically bleaced or treated) .. both are acceptable for canning purposes.

2customer serviceDec 21, 2009
By Just Trying to Help Out
I purchased these, and they are the correct size for my jars. The cost is $4.70 for 8. I know shipping is expensive, so I didn't flinch at the 5.63 s & h cost- until I saw the package, with 8 unpackaged (that's a good thing) gaskets in a small envelope, with a shipping cost of $1.56. I called the merchant to better understand the exorbitant "handling" cost. I had, after all, just had two books shipped expedited for under $5, and three shirts shipped for just slightly more! The speed with which she interrupted me belied her comment that I was the first to ever question this charge!

Great product, very poor policy and customer relations.

5Le Parfait gaskets - worked perfectly for me!Sep 18, 2010
By M. Johnson
I have some jars I got maybe 25 years ago. I don't recall the brand. I measured my jars carefully, and took the leap and got these. They all fit perfectly and they made my old jars like brand new. I ordered these from Amazon, and as always they shipped promptly, sensibly packaged. Would I order these again? Yes!

5Gaskets fit on ARC jars too.Dec 09, 2010
By S. Jacobs
These canning jar gaskets also fit on ARC jars as well. Also, these gaskets have no odor.

Great product, great price.

3Not quite what expectedOct 06, 2009
By E. A. Rogers "JAZZER DUDE"
Althought the gaskets are described as fitting from 0.5 to 2 L jars, that is a bit of a stretch of the imagination. The fit is difficult with the larger jars. OK for smaller mouthed jars only.
